Eligibility
1. 1st class M.Sc./B. Tech. in relevant discipline with NET/GATE* qualification. OR M.Tech (with GATE* qualification) in relevant discipline. First class is required in the qualifying degree. The candidate is required to have fundamental knowledge of structural dynamics, numerical techniques &optimization methods. Programming skill in Python/Matlab is desirable.
2. In
this study, a Bayesian model updating technique will be applied for uncertainty quantification in the vibration-based damage assessment of a structural system. This structure system will be built and tested at laboratory scale. At different damage degrees of induced damage, modal characteristics such as natural frequencies and mode shapes will be determined through vibration testing, and these data
will be then used in the Bayesian model updating schemes.

3. The requirement of NET/GATE
examination for the selection to the post of JRF may be relaxed for the candidates who have graduated from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) with a CGPA of more than 8.000 (80% aggregate marks).
